Roots Down, Branches Out

Anna Dixon

Anna became churchwarden in April 2018. She has been attending Christ Church Highbury since 2010 and during that time has served as a member of the Prayer Ministry Team, organised the Parish Weekend Away, led quiet days, been an active member of a home group, helped organise Friday night Youth Club, been a Sunday School leader, led the Pilgrim course for adults wanting to explore their faith and occasionally leads intercessions on a Sunday. She has lived in Stoke Newington since 2002 and works locally in Islington. She enjoys living the ‘Good Life’ in London – spending time at her allotment and garden, baking and making jam and chutney, knitting and sewing. To relax her and her husband Dave enjoy camping and hill walking. She can be spotted jogging round Clissold Park or swimming at the reservoir or leisure centre. As churchwarden she wants to support the church to develop a new mission action plan, create opportunities for everyone to contribute to the life of the church and for people to experience God in their daily lives through prayer and service of others.
