Questions…

  • The Memory Café is run by a committee of enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers, with its own Constitution, whose aim is to offer free weekly hospitality to older people and their carers.

It is independently funded through donations and fundraising, and Christ Church Highbury supports the cafe by offering the facilities weekly at no charge.

The cafe has been recognised as a valuable community asset with grants being awarded from Islington’s Local Initiative Fund and Waitrose Community Matters which have enabled vital resources to be purchased to keep the guests comfortable and safe.

Our cafe is recommended by guests, carers and volunteers, as well as by healthcare professionals including local GP surgeries and mental health charities.

We would not be able to provide such warm hospitality if it were not for the team of volunteers who run the cafe, provide hot drinks, homemade cakes and fresh fruit every week. Please get in touch to see how you can get involved.
